Managing connected integrations

Integrations are the outside tools you connect to Hirebase, like Gmail, Slack, and GitHub. This article explains how to see what's connected, fix connections, and remove them.

Where to manage integrations

All your connections live in the integrations area of your workspace. From there you can see which tools are connected, connect new ones, and disconnect ones you no longer use.

Checking what's connected

The integrations area lists each available tool and whether it's connected. A connected tool shows as active; one that's available but not set up shows as ready to connect.

If a task says it can't access a tool, check here first to confirm the tool is connected and active.

Connecting a new tool

To connect a tool:

  1. Find it in the list of available integrations.
  2. Choose to connect it.
  3. Sign in with that tool's provider and approve the requested permissions.
  4. You'll return to Hirebase with the tool connected.

Sign-in always happens on the provider's own site, so Hirebase never sees your passwords.

Reconnecting a tool

Connections can expire or be revoked on the provider's side. When that happens, the tool will need to be reconnected before agents can use it again. To reconnect, find the tool in the integrations area and connect it again.

A common sign you need to reconnect is a task reporting that it couldn't access a connected tool.

Disconnecting a tool

To remove a connection, find the tool in the integrations area and disconnect it. After that, agents can no longer use it until you connect it again. Disconnecting doesn't change anything inside the tool itself — it only removes Hirebase's access.

Who can manage integrations

Depending on your workspace's setup, managing integrations may be limited to certain roles. If you don't see the option to connect or remove a tool, an administrator in your workspace may need to do it.

Keeping connections secure

A few good habits:

  • Connect only the tools you actually need.
  • When a provider lets you, limit access to specific accounts or repositories.
  • Disconnect tools you've stopped using.
